Ioan got his start on a Welsh soap opera when he was 14. He had a minor role in the movie Titanic, but gained major recognition as the title character in the Horatio Hornblower series. He has done other high profile parts in Black Hawk Down, King Arthur and as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four movie.
