William Frawley Trivia

He did not get along with I Love Lucy co-star and TV wife Vivian Vance.

Desi Arnaz offered him a part as Fred Mertz in a Mertzes spin-off. Although not thrilled with the idea of working with Vance, he agreed. However, Vance declined.

After Vivian Vance tried to teach him a soft-shoe number, he got angry and was quoted as saying: "I've been in vaudeville since I was five years old! I could probably teach old fat ass how to do the whole fucking thing!"

He was an alcoholic, and Desi Arnaz threatened to fire him if he caused any trouble due to alcoholism on the set. Frawley never arrived to the set drunk at any point.

He became very angry at the producers of "My Three Sons" when they replaced him in 1965.
