Jack was the star of the track team but because his brother brought pot to school and said it was for Jack he was kicked off for the semester. Jack and his mother don't really have a good relationship, he hates that his mother always babies Bobby. He also hates that his mother smokes pot.

Jack later on manages to get back on the Track team but then messes up his foot and can't run anymore so he had to quit. In the future it is revealed that Jack is killed in the war.
