Sister of Dana Ashbrook

Along with Maurice Roëves, John Franklyn-Robbins, Olaf Pooley, Guy Siner and Christopher Neame, she is one of only six actors to appear in both the Star Trek and Doctor Who franchises. She played Ensign Melora Pazlar in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season Two episode "Melora" and Dr. Grace Holloway in the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie. Of these six, she is the only non-Briton, the only woman and the only one to appear in Star Trek before Doctor Who. Interestingly in all six cases, the actor in question plays a human in one and an alien in the other and dies in one but not the other.
