Amy Poehler was born September 16, 1971 in Burlington, Massachusetts. She began as part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, a four person sketch troupe. Poehler also had appearances on Late Night With Conan O'Brien as Andy Richter's little sister Stacy.

Poehler joined Saturday Night Live in 2001 and quickly became a featured player. Starting in 2004, she became the co-anchor on Weekend Update. Poehler has also appeared in films includig Wet Hot American Summer, Mean Girls, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, and Envy.
