She was born Kimberly Jean Brown on 16 November 1984 in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
 
Her professional career began at the age of 5 when she began Modeling and performing in TV commercials to include a commercial for “General Mills” cereal where she uttered this catch phrase "Silly Rabbit, Trix are for Kids”.
 
n 1991 she performed in her very first Broadway Musical production.
 
She became the first person to perform in 3 different Broadway productions at the age of 9 in the same year when she appeared in “Four Baboons Adoring the Sun”, “Les Miserables” and “Showboat”.
 
Her very first nationwide appearance other than in commercials is when she played the part of “Amanda Delaney” in 1993 in an episode of the weekly Comedy, Drama series “The Baby-Sitters Club” also at the age of only 9.
 
She was nominated for her very 1st award at the “Daytime Emmy Awards” in 1996 for her performance as "Marah Lewis" on one of TV’s longest running daytime soap opera dramas, the “Guiding Light”.
