The Presidents of The United States Of America

The Presidents Of The United States Of America is a grunge rock band formed in Seattle during the early 1990s. Chris Ballew and Dave Dederer formed the band and eventually added Jason Finn on drums. In 1994, the band was signed with Pop Llama Records and released a self-titled debut album in 1995. The album received Grammy nominations at the 1996 and 1997 Grammy Awards. II was released in 1996, but didn't receive as much critical acclaim, nor commercial success as their debut.

In 1998, the band broke up after Ballew quit to spend more time with his growing family. Prior to the break-up, they released the album Pure Frosting. After a 2 year split, the band reunited in 2000 and released "Jupiter". The single became widely popular, which convinced the band to produce another album. Freaked Out & Small was released in 2000, and despite critical acclaim, the album failed to sell more than 25,000 copies.

The band once again broke up to work on solo projects, but came together in 2004, under their own record label, and released Love Everybody through Apple's iTunes music store.

The band is currently on tour to support Love Everybody
