Eddie Steeples was born on November 25, 1973 in Texas. Eddie earned theater experience at the St. Louis Repertory, then went to New York in the mid-1990s where he joined an unique film group called Mo-Freek. Some of their productions were Lost in the Bush, Caravan Summer, and People Are Dead. He was also part of a hip hop group, called No Surrender, and made an appearance as a guest on The Chris Rock Show.
Eddie is often recognized as "Rubberband Man" in several commercials for OfficeMax.
He also appeared in the movie "Torque," starring Ice Cube, Faison Love, and Jaime Pressley.
Steeples is currently starring as Darnell in the NBC sitcom My Name Is Earl.
