He’s dark. He’s mysterious. He’s handsome. He’s known for playing some of the most hated characters on television. Adrian Pasdar is a dark and twisted man - well, at least on TV - and he sure is brilliant when doing so. Before getting into acting, Pasdar attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, where he was a college football star. After he was in a car accident at 19, his athletic career was put on hold, but that didn’t stop Pasdar from acting. He studied theater at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City and soon enough he was on the big screen. His debut role was as Chipper in the ‘80s movie hit “Top Gun.” About a year later, he starred as vampire Caleb Colton in the indie flick “Near Dark.” This was the role that put him on the map, but that didn’t keep him acting, as he quit showbiz for two years. When he returned in the ‘90s, he scored several successful parts, but once again he quit and worked at the register of a diner. When he officially returned to the entertainment industry, Pasdar became a fan favorite for his hated character as Jim Profit in the TV show “Profit.” With that role came other great parts on “Mysterious Ways,” “Judging Amy” and “Desperate Housewives.” It was in 2006 that his career skyrocketed with NBC’s “Heroes.” Pasdar played Nathan Petrelli, and from that moment on his face would be hard to forget. He even took home a 2009 Saturn Award as Best Supporting Actor in Television for “Heroes.” In 2011, he took on the role of ominous Alec Rybak in ABC Family’s “The Lying Game,” and in 2012 he portrayed President Paul Garcetti in USA Network’s “Political Animals.” He’s even dabbled in voice work by voicing Iron Man/Tony Stark in several series like “Iron Man” and “Avengers Assemble.” He also possesses some musical talent and plays guitar, alongside James Denton, Scott Grimes, Bob Guiney, Jesse Spencer and “Heroes” co-star Greg Grunberg. Funnily enough, their band’s name is Band From TV. All of the money raised goes directly to charities. Like his acting, he’s just as famous for his relationships. For years, he dated Cecilia Peck, Gregory Peck’s daughter. His next serious relationship was with Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines. They married in 2000, but it wasn’t your typical million dollar style affair. Rather than throwing money around for their special day, Pasdar and Maines celebrated with a low key wedding. They said “I do” in Las Vegas and it only cost them $55. After their marriage, Pasdar appeared in the 2000 Dixie Chicks music video “Goodbye Earl.” They have two sons, Jackson Slade and Beckett Finn Pasdar.
