Dr. Heather is a professor at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California. Her Ph.D. is from UCLA's Folklore and Mythology Program. She has appeared on numerous television shows as a folklore expert, providing research and commentary on urban legends, fairy tales and myths, folk beliefs and superstitions, supernatural creatures and events and issues regarding ethnicity and cultural studies. She is married, has two children and spends her free time obsessing over vampires, victorian costumes and science fiction.
