Jamie Hyneman is a jack of all trades. Born in Michigan and grew up on a farm, he holds degrees in Russian Language and Literature, has had numerous jobs before starting M5 Industries, a visual effects company that has done work for numerous movies and television shows. Jamie also isn't new to being in front of a camera, having competed in Comedy Central's BattleBots, where he competed with M5 and ran the robot Blendo, where his co-host Adam Savage was also contestant, before becoming a host for MythBusters. Away from the show, Jamie is the holder of numerous patents for his inventions, was awarded numerous industry awards and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
