Kiminobu Kogure is the vice-captain for the Shohoku team. He may not have the best basketball skills among his teammates, but his teammates respect him for his personality and his determination. He is a simple and helpful person.

His greatest dream is to see Shohoku in the National Championship and becomes one of the top teams in the country. Although, he usually sits out during the games, nonetheless, he still manages to score crucial points for his team, in the few times that he played. He seems to be the only player in the Shohoku team who believe in Sakuragi’s potential in basketball.

A powerful vampire much older than Shido and in his own words his former lover. Cain made Shido a vampire and they both enjoyed each others company for many years. In the end Cains arrogance and hedonistic ways made Shido leave him but to Shido's disdane Cain can't take no for an answer.
