Moira Kelly was born in Queens, New York on March 6, 1968 as the third child in a family of six. After graduating from high school in 1986, Moira attended Marymount Manhattan College. Moira's first big television break came in 1999 when she was cast as Mandy Hampton in the critically acclaimed series, The West Wing. In addition to her role on The West Wing, Moira has appeared in several films including The Cutting Edge and Dangerous Beauty as well as providing the voice of Nala in The Lion King and The Lion King II. Currently, Moira stars as Karen Roe on the CW series, One Tree Hill.

Moira is married to Steve Hewitt, a Texas businessman, and has two children, Ella and Eamon.
