played Jeff Randall in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (1969)
Full Name: Jeffrey Randall
Occupation: Private Investigator
Marital Status: Single
Military Service: Army
Jeff is the stereotypical gumshoe. He smokes, he drinks, and his face indicates he's been in more than his fair share of scuffles. "When I'm paid to do a job," he tells one person, "I do my very best." He is a good detective, but the cards don't always fall his way.
His life is turned upside down one Wednesday night when his business partner is killed in a hit-and-run accident. After the funeral, Jeff's life becomes more complicated when his partner's ghost returns, visible only to Jeff. This puts Jeff in an uncomfortable position: he's frequently thought "odd" for "talking to himself," and on more than one occasion he has to explain how "he" obtained information courtesy of his ethereal partner.
Jeff's least favorite part of the private investigation business is the stake-out to provide proof of a cheating husband.
