Flannery starred in TV's The Young Indiana Young Chronicles from 1992 to 1993 as the famous budding archeologist, and as the title character, a sweet-tempered misfit in the 1995 drama Powder. Flannery played an attorney who defended his best friend when a night on the town goes awry in the 1999 film Body Shots. He discovered acting at University of St. Thomas once when he saw the most gorgeous specimen of femininity leaving the drama department, he decided to ditch his English class and join up in her class. He lost the girl but gained a TV show. He grew up in Houston, where his father, Paul, sells medical supplies, and his mother, Genie, is a real estate agent. He split his time between LA and Las Vegas while filming the 1999 UPN series The Strip, in which he played a cop who took on shady side jobs. After doing some celeb car races he became addicted to speed racing.
