Ken is an actor, professional wrestler and former 3-time UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Superfight Champion and a former Pancrase Champion.

He has had the following names/nicknames of ‘Mr. Wrestling’ Vince Torelli, ‘One Punch’ Ken Shamrock, Vince Torelli, Wayne Shamrock and The Worlds Most Dangerous Man.

He began his pro wrestling training when he enrolled into the “Bob Sawyers School of Pro Wrestling” in 1988. He was trained by Bob Sawyer, ‘Mad Dog’ Buzz Sawyer (Bruce Woyan) and Nelson Royal.

In 1990 he made his in-ring wrestling debut for SAPW (South Atlantic Pro Wrestling) based in Charlotte, North Carolina using the name Wayne Shamrock as a face but later renamed himself Vince Torelli when he turned heel.

He adopted the nickname of ‘Mr. Wrestling’ & began competing in Japan in the UWF (Universal Wrestling Federation) as well as in PWFG (Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi) & PHW (Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling) later shortened to Pancrase.

He started his career as a UFC fighter making his debut in that sport in November 1993 and in 1996 he won his first ever UFC World Title by defeating Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn in the championship finals.

On 24 February 1997 he signed a 3-year, 3 Million-dollar contract to wrestle in the WWF. His debut in the WWF was as a special guest referee under the name of Ken Shamrock with the nickname of "The World's Most Dangerous Man".

The match he referred was a submission “I Quit” match between Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart (Bret Sergeant Hart) & ‘Stone cold’ Steve Austin at “Wrestlemania 13” in Rosemont, Illionis on 23 march 1997.

At the 22-minute mark of the match Bret had rendered the bloodied Austin unconscious while using one of his favorite moves/holds “The Sharpshooter” and was declare the winner via a submission.

His first match in the WWF came up the next night on “WWF Monday Night Raw” where he quickly subdued his opponent Vernon White. The remainder of 1997 he feuded with ‘The Hart Foundation’.

The early part of 1998 saw Ken feuding with Rocky Mavia aka ‘The Rock’ (Dwayne Douglas Johnson) who was the reigning WWF World Heavyweight Champion.

At the annual “King of the Ring” pay-per view on 28 June 1998 in Pittsburgh Ken pinned Jeff Jarrett in his semi final match & then beats ‘The Rock’ via submission to win the tournament & was crowned the new King of the WWF.

In September he formed a stable with The Rock and Mankind (Michael Francis "Mick" Foley). In November 1998 he joined the heel stable of Vincent J. McMahon Jr. calling themselves “Mr. McMahon’s Corporation”.

On 14 December Shamrock & fellow corporation member Big Bossman defeated the New Age Outlaws of Billy Gunn (Monty "Kip" Sopp) & ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James (Brian Gerard ‘B.G.’ James) to win the WWF Tag Team titles.

In January 1999 he began a feud with Billy Gunn (Monty "Kip" Sopp), Goldust (Virgil Riley Runnels III) & Val Venis (Sean Morley) all of whom wanted to date Ken’s recently introduced on-screen sister Ryan Shamrock (Alicia Nicole Webb).

In early 1999 he feuded with The Undertaker & his “Ministry of Darkness” which included The Acolytes & Mideon who kidnapped Mabel at the “Royal Rumble” & who changed his name to Viscera the next night on “WWF Raw is War”.

In May Ken now a face once again formed “The Union” with The Big Show (Paul Wight Jr.), Mankind (Michael Francis "Mick" Foley) & Test (Andrew J. Martin). Ken next feuded briefly with Jeff Jarrett.

After his feud with Jeff he feuded with ‘The Lethal Weapon’ Steve Blackman & then Chris Jericho (Christopher Keith Irvine). Jericho’s bodyguard Mr. Hughes (Curtis Hughes) claimed he had injured Ken which was a setup to allow him to return to the UFC

He returned to wrestling in March 2002 1st as a special guest referee in ROH (Ring of Honor) between American Dragon (Bryan Danielson) & Low Ki (Brandon Silvestry) then in May he signed a 1-year contract with TNA.

On 19 June he won the "Gauntlet for the Gold" match to win the vacant NWA Heavyweight Title at the first ever weekly TNA pay-per view. He lost the title to Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings on 7 August and left TNA.

On 22 October 2003 he appeared in the UPW then disappeared reappearing in the UPW again on 20 February 2004. On 30 June 2004 he returned to TNA where he aligned himself with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett.

Shamrock disappeared from wrestling once again in late July to return to the UFC again on a semi part-time basis.

In professional wrestling he has had feuds with the Big Bossman, the British Bulldog, Chris Chavis, Hunter Hearst Helmsley better known as Triple H, Jeff Jarrett, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Steve Blackman.
