Christina Applegate was born on November 25, 1971 in Hollywood, California. She has always dreamed of going into acting, and at the age of 17 she decided to drop out of high school to pursue her career in acting. She almost immediately landed the role of Kelly Bundy on the wildly popular series Married...With Children on the new FOX network. The sitcom about a dysfunctional family lasted an astounding 11 seasons, and finally wrapped in the spring of 1997. Christina was then offered to star in a spin-off which would focus on her character, Kelly Bundy, but she was not interested. However, she wasted no time in getting back into acting as she landed the lead on the NBC series Jesse the following television season. Despite very high ratings, the series was still canceled after two seasons. Many fans blamed this on the fact that it was given the "post- Friends" slot on NBC's Must See TV Thursday night line-up, a time-slot which requires far too much from shows. Ironically, Christina would later appear on Friends a few times playing the role of Rachel's sister, Amy. She then began to concentrate on her film career and went on to appear in numerous movies with other big-name stars.
