Ezri Dax replaced Jadzia Dax after Jadzia's untimely death. Although she was welcomed with a bit of friction at first, especially from Worf, her kind, empathetic and sensitive nature has gained her the love and esteem of the crew. Despite the occasional bout of space sickness she continues to fulfill her duties as station counselor and also pursued a relationship with Dr. Julian Bashir.

Life-long love of Johnny, they suffered all the pitfalls of life together. Even during Johnny's coma she sat by his side, but eventually time got the best of her and she started a relationship and later married Walt. Despite these facts, Sarah is still a major part of Johnny's life; they have a son together and she offers emotional stability for Johnny and his newfound responsibility.
