Casper Robert Van Dien Jr. was born on December 18 1968, in New Jersey on Van Dien Avenue (named after his grandfather). Casper has Dutch, Swedish, English and Native American ancestors. His family soon moved to Florida, where he was enrolled in Admiral Farragut Military Academy, where he graduated 3rd in command. He later attended Florida State University.
He wanted to pursue an acting career, so that end he moved to LA. Since then Casper has appeared in several popular movies, as well as starring in the hit movie Starship Troopers.
In May 1999 he married Catherine Oxenberg, and is now the father of one soon, three daughters and a step-daughter. His mother in law is Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia.
