Jacob was born on September 10, 1979 and was raised in Oregon and Washington. He has two sisters and one brother. Whilst at school he appeared in many local theatre productions.
Jacob made his daytime television debut on the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful in the recast role of Rick Forrester in 1997. He left the show in 1999 and joined the cast of General Hospital in 2000 in the role of Lucky Spencer. Jacob won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor in 2002. He joined the cast of All My Children in 2003 playing the part of Adam Chandler Jnr.
Jacob is also a talented singer and released his first CD in 2001.
Jacob's hobbies include surfing and race car driving. His dream is to one day own a ranch in Montana.
