Arvin Sloane ran SD-6, one of the twelve cells in the terrorist group, the Alliance. Overcome by his obsession with Rambaldi, he deceived thousands of people into believing SD-6 was a part of the CIA.

Saul is Nora's brother and uncle to her five children. He worked with Nora's husband, William, at the family company, Ojai Foods, as Chief Financial Officer. He began a tentative relationship with his late brother-in-law's former mistress, Holly Harper, but that soon fizzled.
