Demetria Devonne Lovato, or as she is more commonly known, Demi Lovato, was born August 20, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. At the age of six she began her acting career by playing Angela on the popular children's series Barney & Friends. After numerous guest starring roles on popular television series, Demi landed the role of Charlotte on the short series As the Bell Rings, which began airing on Disney Channel in August 2007. Shortly after her role as Charlotte, she got the starring role of Mitchie Torres in Disney Channel's original movie Camp Rock where she would co-star with popular musicians The Jonas Brothers. She released her debut album titled Don't Forget under the Hollywood Records record label on September 23, 2008 and is currently filming her new Disney Channel orginal series Sonny With A Chance that is set to premiere February 24, 2009 where she will play the starring role of Sonny. A sequal to Camp Rock is in development and Demi is expected to return as well as the other principal cast members.
