Jimmy Nail is an English actor who is Newcastle United FC through and through. Jimmy (born James Aloyious Bradford) is probably best known for his role in the Geordie drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet he played Oz. Jimmy Nail is also a singer and has made albums including "Tadpoles in a Jar". Jimmy now does voice-overs for Tesco advertisements.

| He used to sing and play guitar in a band called The Crabs. He would sometimes perform on stage in a frock and wearing Hobnail Boats. They used to gig all over the northwest of England.

Jimmy: It’s lovely to be returning to BBC One with a brand new show. Half-hour comedy is something I’ve not done before; as such it offers a new challenge. We have a wonderful team – some of them new acquaintances, some old friends – and we’ll be working hard to ensure the end product is special.
