She won the “Miss USA” pageant in 1980 and the “Miss World” (sometimes called “Miss Universe”) pageant in 1980 held in Seoul, South Korea where she became the 5th person from the U.S. to ever win that honor.

Shawn graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 1982.

Shawn’s first professional acting appearance was playing a character named “Billie Ann” on 4 February 1983 in an episode of the weekly TV Comedy series “The Dukes of Hazzard”.

Possibly her biggest break was when she played the role of Beautiful “Jill Riley” from 1989 to 1990 in the weekly TV Actin, Drama “Baywatch” starring “David Hasselhoff” and “Parker Stevenson”.
