David Evans, also known as The Edge, was born in August of 1961 to Garvin and Gwenda Evans. When he was little, his family moved to Dublin, Ireland. It was there as a teenager that he formed the now known band U2 with Bono, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr.
The Edge is known for his unique style of guitar-playing and vocals on the U2 albums.

Trivia
Is well known to wear his skull beanie cap at all times because of his thinning hair, which started in his early twenties. He even wore it on his wedding day.
Edge was listed as #24 on Rolling Stone's magazine's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".

Edge almost left U2 in 1982 due to religious reasons but chose to stay.
