• Soap star Windsor injured in fall. |
EastEnders star Barbara Windsor has broken her wrist and sprained her ankle in a fall during filming.
The 69-year-old actress, who plays matriarch Peggy Mitchell, was injured while shooting scenes in London.
A BBC statement said: "She is in a splint for the next couple of weeks and the surgeon will then decide if she needs to wear a cast for six weeks."
