Charlie was originally a member of the World Famous “Fred Karno” Vaudeville Troupe that also spawned the likes of Actor/Comedians “Charlie Chaplin” and “Stan Laurel”. He moved from England to the U.S. in the early 1920’s where he gained the nickname of “The Little Nemesis”. His very first major Acting appearance was in the Comedy Short Film “Mother’s Joy” where he played a house guest in 1923. He appeared in over 250 Films, which includes appearing in 47 Films with Actor/Comedians “Laurel & Hardy”.
He only appeared on TV a very few times, which included off and on guest appearances in “The Little Rascals” series between 1929 and 1936. His only other Television appearance was on 19 February 1956 as a Man with Pool Cue in an episode of the weekly Mystery/Thriller series “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”. He died at the age of 60 of unknown causes on 7 December 1959 in North Hollywood, California.
