i just saw alma platt as a wise, vibrant, benevolent school teacher on the Donna Reed show. what a delight she was. a kind of person and character you just dont have any more- a person of a traditional grandmother age and refined and sparkling in her rich humanity and unhiding of her honored-in-other-cultures age of wisdom and gracefully aged beauty. i had to look her up. i didnt know who she was. i am so glad to honor her and to know her name. wow. born before the twentieth century. i wish shows like oprah winfrey's former one and many others would have honored people such as she by having interviewed her for an hour, instead of the regular talk shows list of programs never honoring wonderful figures of our cultural past. ms. platt didnt die until 1976. think of how much she would have had to share. i love this nbc 6.2 local channel here in new orleans for showing such terrific shows like this and without any charge... free on the airwaves... what a gift to and an honorment of all of us...Brenda Du Faur***
