Camillia was raised in Philadelphia, were while she was attending the High School for Creative and Perfoming Arts she auditioned for a cabaret show downtown. She landed a role as Marlene Dietrich. She immediately became hooked on theatre - she was blessed to be taken under the wing by a group of amazingly colorful, talented, flamboyant actors, who schooled her on Marlene's gestures, postures, all the way to performing and singing "I Left My little Suitcase In Berlin" in German. After attending the University of the Arts, she was encouraged by friend and renowned writer Dr. Camillia Paglia and director Walter Dallas to apply to the Yale School of Drama. She was accepted. Upon graduating Yale, Camillia moved to New York and became a regular in its legendary theatre scene. She worked at theatres such as The Roundabout Theatre with Bill Irwin, originating the role of Celestina in "Cloud Tectonics" at Playwright's Horizon and became a member of the Blue Light Theatre Co.,where she worked with talents such as Francis McDormand and Billy Crudup. Additionally, she worked the regional circuit in such reputable theatres as La Jolla Playhouse, South Coast Rep., Actor's Theatre of Louisville among many others.
Camillia relocated to Los Angeles soon after her long time relationship ended. She packed her 87' Honda with a couple of bags and over 150 pairs of what she calls "her girls" and drove out to Hollywood. She settled in L.A. and started waitressing. After being in L.A. a short while, she was lucky to land the recurring role of Aurora Aceveda. She feels very fortunate to now be in her 3rd season with the Emmy Award-winning FX drama "The Shield". Having had a taste of a nice cameo appearance opposite Tobey Maguire in "Seabiscuit", she looks forward to more opportunities on the "big Screen". When Camillia is not doing anything acting related, she enjoys interior design, dinners with her boyfriend and talking to her mom and her many siblings on the East Coast and VI, which she says "help her to keep it all in check."
