Pete is a good cop, in a good marriage, with a pretty teenage daughter who he watches over like a hawk. Since his partner's murder, however, Pete has felt the strain of trying to put the man responsible in prison, by keeping the only witness alive. His wife Theresa's involvement with her friend Jodie's troubles involving her husband Brian only add to his sense of being overwhelmed. Her secrecy and constant disappearances lead him to believe she is having an affair. After the case against the man who killed his partner crumbles and Pete is made the scapegoat by his bosses, he reaches his lowest point. When Pete asks if their marriage is over, Theresa makes a startling confession that explains all the secrecy - Brian is dead and she helped bury him! |
