Hugh Reilly


Reilly was born in Newark, New Jersey (USA) on October 30, 1915. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war, he performed in theater, on the Broadway stage, in films, and on television. He is best remembered as television's Paul Martin, a farmer and the adoptive father of Timmy Martin on the television series Lassie (1958-1964). In later years, Reilly often joined his Lassie co-stars at autograph signings and fan conventions. Reilly fathered three sons Josh, Dave, and Ethan. He died in Burbank, California (USA) on July 17, 1998 of emphysema.
