During the 2000 BBC "Children In Need" telethon, viewers were encouraged to donate by the promise that, if donations reached a certain target, Gaby would be sawn in half by a magician. The donations did reach the set target, and Gaby was indeed sawn in half by magician Scott Penrose. After she had been divided in two, her co-host Terry Wogan was invited to tickle her feet - an invitation he gladly accepted!
