Hugh Dancy is an English actor, and was born on June 19, 1975 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Hugh is the son of well known philosophy professor Jonathan Peter Dancy. Upon completion of his studies at St. Peter's College in Oxford, Hugh moved to London, where a chance encounter resulted in him getting signed by a talent agent. In the late 90's, Dancy appeared on the British TV series 'The New Adventures of Robin Hood', 'Dangerfield', and 'Cold Feet.' He made his American film debut in the 2001 war drama 'Black Hawk Down', and went on to appear as Sir Galahad in the 2004 version of 'King Arthur.' In 2007, Dancy appeared in the film 'Evening', on the set of which he met his future wife, 'Homeland' star Clare Danes. On the TV front, Dancy played a recurring role on Showtime's 'The Big C', and can currently be seen portraying mentally disturbed investigator Will Graham on NBC's 'Hannibal.' Other credits include Ella Enchanted, Blood & Chocolate, Martha Marcy May Marlene, and Savage Grace.
