played John Locke in Lost
Locke is perhaps the most mysterious of the survivors. His motivations and true feelings are usually masked. He was on Flight 815 because he'd gone to Australia to partake in a "Walkabout" in the Australian Outback - but was denied this adventure because he was in a wheelchair with useless legs - we still don't know exactly how Locke became paralyzed.
Locke was abandoned by his parents when he was a child, and grew up in foster care and group homes. His mother reappeared back in his life once he was an adult, but sadly, she was only using him to get money out of Locke's father. Locke's father turned out to be even worse - a selfish millionaire who seemed to be pleased to meet his adult son, but only deceived him to get a kidney.
Locke has seen the "monster" up close, and claimed it was beautiful. He says he believes the island brought them all there for a reason - and he wants to do the island's bidding. He even blew open a "hatch" because he thought the island wanted him to do so, and began pushing a mysterious button inside.
Locke is without question a man of faith; however, it is often his blind adherance to his beliefs that leads him into some heated arguements with the other survivors, especially Jack. |
