Her name is pronounced Deechen (that being the most obvious question). Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, child of a Tibetan mother and an Austrialian father. She lived in Kathmandu until the age of seven, when her parents moved to Adelaide, Australia. After dropping out of college to pursue acting, Dichen moved first to Sydney, then, upon getting a regular role in the popular Aussie Soap Neighbours, she moved to Melbourne. In early 2007 she moved to Hollywood in order to pursue acting there. Her role as Sierra in Joss Whedon's Dollhouse is her first significant role in the USA.
