played Nasir in Robin of Sherwood
(A special note about this character: Although the character of a Saracen has been seen in various Robin Hoods since Robin of Sherwood, it first appeared in this series and is a creation of Richard Carpenter. Furthermore, his creation was meant as a one off for the first episode, but after performing so well, they decided to make him one of the merry men.)
Nasir entered the scene as a servant of Simon De Belleme, and after his demise, surprisingly decided to join Robin Hood. Since he is a Saracen and doesn't speak much English, his input within the merry men is limited. However, he is still an invaluable member. An assassin by trade, he's a ruthless killer with nearly no compeer among the merry men. With his characteristic double swords, he is nearly unstoppable, and can only be overpowered by sheer numbers. Also his assassin training has given him a swift and decisive mind as well as extremely important skills, such as stealth and tracking.
Like the others in the group, he is extremely loyal to the cause, but unlike the others never grumbles or bemoans about a situation. Furthermore, he is more than willing to help anyone in danger, and may very well be the first to leap to someone's aid. |
