Hap Gorman is an old seafarer who operates a marine carpentry shop near Coral Key. He enjoys telling tall tales for the amusement of Bud. Hap sometimes finds himself in trouble but is usually brave in the face of danger. Hap appeared in five first season episodes.
Andrew Vabre "Andy" Devine (October 7, 1905 - February 18, 1977) was a rotund, raspy-voiced American character actor and comic cowboy sidekick. He appeared in more than 400 films and possessed the rare ability to move with ease from "B" Westerns to "A" pictures. He is well-remembered for his role as "Jingles", Guy Madison's sidekick in radio's The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok, which Devine and Madison reprised on television. |
