Huey Lewis & the News are an American rock group formed in 1979 by lead vocalist Huey Lewis (birth name, Hugh Anthony Cregg III). There first self titled album was largely ignored, but their next album, Picture This, contained the song "Do You Believe In Love?" which garnered them attention when it charted well in the UK and USA. Their third album is their biggest selling album and one of the best selling albums of the 1980s; Sports contained many chart hits and gave Huey Lewis & the News fame across the USA. With this new found fame they did two songs for the Back to the Future movie in 1985 - "The Power Of Love" (a USA #1 & UK #9) and "Back In Time". This followed three good selling albums; Fore! (1986), Small World (1988) and in 1991, Hard At Play. They then released a "Best Of" in 1992 and Huey decided to focus a bit more on an acting career in the 90's - he was in the movie sphere at the helicopter pilot and other movies. Another album was released in 1994 titled "Four Chords & Several Years Ago". A Best Of was also released in 1996 and HLN went on a break from recording new songs and heavily toured the USA. In 2001 they released a well received album called "Plan B" and another is planned for 2007.
