Petticoat Junction

Petticoat Junction

Hooterville U.S.A., was the town where the Shady Rest motel stood. The owner was Kate Bradley, who ran the motel with her three daughters Bobbie Jo, Bilie Jo, and Betty Jo.
She also had a problem with her lazy Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan) who always tries to make money for the motel or himself from numerous silly schemes.
They traveled to Sam Drucker's Store by the Cannonball an old time train, ran by Charlie Pratt, and Floyd Smoot who was the conductor.
Sadly, Bea Benadaret, who played Kate, died in 1968, leaving a void, which was soon filled in by a lady doctor, Janet Craig played by June Lockhart.
