Popstars: The Rivals: Live Finals - 8

Davina returns to present the final show for the girls. Five out of the six of them will make it into the band. Sarah who has been suffering with a sore throat all week manages to give a good performance. Javine, Nicola, Kimberly and Nadine all give good performances too. Cheryl is the last to perform and she struggles and Pete predicts that she could be the one to miss out on making the group. Davina returns later in the evening with the results of the public vote. Everyone is shocked when Javine is eliminated leaving our final girl band members Nadine, Cheryl, Sarah, Nicola and Kimberley.

Javine and Sarah received the lowest amount of votes this week.

Javine has since gone on to have a solo pop career.

Girls Aloud are managed by Louis Walsh.

Aimmie, Emma, Lynsey and Chloe formed the group Clea after the series finished.

Davina announced that the girls had made the group in the follwing order Cheryl, Nicola, Nadine, Kimberley and Sarah.

Cheryl had been the favourite to be eliminated this week.

The two groups had just one week to film a pop video before their debut singles were released.

Javine has since appeared on another reality show called The Games.

Javine had been one of the bookies favourites to be in the group.

The judges were shocked that Javine didn't make the group.
