| » YARR, IT BE AN ASS OF A TIME ON THE ROADS |
I finished my Japanese final project! I've even handed it in on time...it was a book of 20 hiragana sentences with a little picture. (See, the hard part was having to draw 20 different funny pictures).
My bus (one of two that I take home) was fifteen minutes late, and we're standing outside, twenty of us. There's us kids of all grades, and we're screaming at the bus, and I SWEAR, it took eight minutes to get up the street. We were all freezing horribly, but the only thing we could do was scream random crap at the top of our lungs. It's funny in retropect.
SO AFTER THAT I MET THE REAL LIFE ASUKA LANGELY.
Although she wasn't mean. While waiting my second bus, I decided to stand in a doorway of some printing office, and suddenly a girl with orange hair stands next to me. She had blue eyes, and hair ties where Asuka's plug suit clip thingies were. But we started talking about the bus and that she'd seen me on the bus before, and then I asked:
"So, are you in grade 9 or 10?"
"Actually, I'm in 7th."

Regardless of me being about three years older, we just talked about the bus and a camping trip she had. I doubt I'll see her again anytime soon, but she was nice.
Finally, my dad and I were in a car accident!
This morning, as we were driving to school, we see this lady do two different spin-outs because she was going too fast. She slips back into traffic, and soon enough, dad and I are almost at the school. As we're about to turn, there's this...it's hard to explain...but there's this THWMP. We're jolted foward a bit, but Dad puts the car in Neutral, gets out and yells "DAMMIT!"
I look out the back window, and there's that lady! Dad's waving and pointing, and the lady is just nodding. After a minute, he gets back in and we drive off.
In Saskatchewan, if someone drives into you and you have no damages, you can just drive off.
Our car is from 1982, and has a heavy, steel bumper on the back. The woman that drove into us was going so fast that she smashed in the front of her car by a few inches. Both headlights are out. Dad says it'll be about $2500 in damages for that lady. Then he described their conversation.
"I saw you spin out just up the street! You've gotta slow down!"
"I-know-I-know-I-know!"
And then we just left. I don't know what happened to that lady, though.
Also, I saw a guy on a bicycle going up the middle of a busy street, which was covered in snow.
Is anybody else having some crazy crap on the roads where they are? I've got slow buses and crazy people so far. |

LOL at your bus story. I remember one time in the winter my bus was extremely late, and it was just me and three other people waiting. All we could do was stand there. It was terrible.
And I hate driving. Other drivers scare me, and it freaks me out when the car behind me is only, like, a foot behind my car. GIVE ME SOME SPACE, GEEZ. |

In my experience, about 10% of accidents in the winter are due to truly bad road conditions or car troubles. The other 90% is because people are idiots and don't realize that ice is slippery.
Buses are the worst in snow when they put on the chains. All you can hear is CHIGGACHIGGACHIGGACHIGGACHIGGACHIGGACHIGGACHIGGA and the bus keeps bouncing up and down. |

I fishtail EVERYDAY and always get trapped on this hill. It's horrible. I fear for my life everyday. Nathan, you have no idea how lucky you are being down south. Also, I crashed into this "enter only" sign, and I bent it.. it was depressing. |

I wouldn't consider central Nevada south perse (at least relatively. obviously it is compared to Minnesota ). Although we've had a lot less snow than we usually have by this time of year. *knocks on wood* |
