» sad little things that make us human while we wait to die 3
So I've known this for a while, and I've been able to accept it for a while, but it's really been brought to my attention recently...

People suck. Like, 99% of them are the most awful people you'll ever meet. I suspect that's why I can't get a job. Maybe they can sense when I go in that I will dread coming to work every day and having to deal with the customers. I have said this before and I think the best job would be something like a shelf-stocker, cause then I wouldn't have to deal with fools getting all up in my fries.

That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "f*** you" right under your nose. Somebody will probably even write that on my tombstone. It'll have my name, when I was born, when I died, and then right underneath it, it'll say "f*** you".

For reasons I assume to be antisocial tendencies and their parents neglecting and abusing them, lots of people think it is okay to pass judgment on other people that they don't even know. Having to deal with people like this is less enjoyable than being molested by a drunk uncle. It wouldn't be so bad if that was the minority, but these kind of people are all over. Sometimes I think Arthur Friggin' Schopenhauer was onto something with that antinatalism jazz.

I don't know. I was sort of hoping that this would make me feel a little better somehow, but it hasn't helped.

(Bonus points to the person who gets the three cultural references in this blog.)

2 out of 3 ain't bad! I didn't really expect anyone to get the third one (except maybe Jen) so I might as well have just said two. But "Arthur Friggin' Schopenhauer" is from this episode of Dinosaur Comics.

You win ten internet points.

Never mind me deleting all my comments after I realize how dumb I am. I thought I linked to the comic in the blog but I linked to the wikipedia article. Either way I guess I didn't expect anyone to get it or something. I forget what the point of this was.

Um, yes. Ditto. UPS package handler.

I even hate the nice customers at work. Like, I just hate them for existing and making me even more miserable. And I like the people I work with, but I don't feel like socializing anymore. I just wanna be alone, dammit.

I think we have to be CPAs or novelists. Those are our two options. *writes a novel about a CPA*

Writing a novel would be a pretty sweet gig. The idea of getting paid to make stuff up is kind of appealing and is the exact opposite of an accident claims investigator. Actually I think an even more awesome job would be a fortune cookie writer. As far as writing jobs go that would probably be easiest as the pages are very small.
