|First things first, let me say this: I do not consider myself a baseball fan, but I'm going to blog about a (somewhat) local university's baseball team.
A few weeks ago, the Fresno State Bulldogs started their journey after winning the WAC Championship to the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals to the College World Series in Omaha. So, apparently the commentators and sports analysts were predicting they wouldn't get very far in the tournament. Boy, did the dogs prove 'em wrong when they first beat Rice, then North Carolina, and then the Georgia Bulldogs to win their first National Championship in school history (Fresno State has been around since 1911).
What's cool is that a lot of the Bulldogs fans were wearing shirts that said "From Underdogs to Wonderdogs" on them at the games and that during their games Fresno's fans could be heard barking in their seats and that their best finish before this tournament was third place...in 1959.
