| » why are these moods the same ones on myspace? |
although i haven't particularly blogged on here for a while, i have little else do to than try and move 1700 songs from one computer to another, or a pile of holiday homework which doesn't really interest me at this point in time.
oh, lets face it. when would it ever interest me?
anyway. so i think it's time for a nice big ramble/moan about whatever. what better time to do it? it is new years eve, after all.
numero uno - TWILIGHT (the movie/books/stephenie meyer being called craaaaaazy/etc.etc)
I've read the books. and by read i mean devoured. i can't really explain why either. upon re-reading, cos that's what i do in my spare time - reading in general. not obsessing over what apge 142 of "new moon" says or whatever - i've realised that they're not the best books ever.
they're not even that well written. like really, if they're ever called proper literature or something i might go and kill myself. sure, it's evident that stephenie meyer used a thesaurus, but how many times did she use the word 'chagrin'?
plus, the ending kind of sucked. i mean, really. atleast harry potter's ending had something to it.
and so, with the books, comes the movie. unfortunately for me, i've seen it thrice, which equates to more times that i've read the first book over. (twice. i tried reading it again but i got bored). i know a girl whose seen it ten times. TEN! that's .. atleast $100 wasted on it.
the movie was .. alright, in my opinion. the book was better, although the baseball scene was okay. (this may or may not be influenced by the fact that they were playing Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole"). the meadow scene sucked and his glittering made robert pattinson look like he had some sort of abnormal growth/sweat problem on his face.
also. the obsession over edward cullen is killing it for me. really.
does no-one grasp the concept that he is a fictitous character?
people really do amaze me sometimes.
anyway, somehow i got clicking onto a video of robert pattinson doing an interview, and he calls meyer crazy. it's rather amusing. it may be true.
numero duo - albums that i've spent my money on:
here's a list of cd's i've bought recently that i've liked;
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
The Wombats - A Guide To Love, Loss and Despiration
Muse - Absolution
there are others, but those are the ones sitting next to me while i'm moving zee music.
that sounds quite strange, but i don't feel like editing it.
here are cds i'm not quite sure about:
Fall Out Boy - Folie A Deux.
It's a nice album and all. I just don't think it's my faaaaaaavourite one ever by them. Times are a chaaaaaanging, i guess.
Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night.
It's alright, i mean, i could've downloaded it and saved myself $20 for something else. like a radiohead cd. i should purchase on of those one time.
numero tre - TV that's rather lovely!
The Mighty Boosh.
it's quite possibly the most brilliant thing ever. apart from the fact the second series was kind of sucky, and the third series was too short, it's still heaaaaaaaps good!
i found out a guy at my work watches it aswell. ohhhhhh brilliant!
Skins:
my mother doesn't like this show, and it's rather awkward watching it with my 12 year old sister in certain parts of the second series, but it's still good. i'm actually rather annoyed that they've dumped the cast for a new set, but i'll probably still watch it, and make comparisons to my friend about sid and cassie.
Nevermind The Buzzcocks:
haha my friend made me watch this show cos there was an episode with noel fielding on it. it's rather good, and i can see the spicks and specks comparisons.
except that spicks and specks has hamish blake on it alot, while nmtbc has noel fielding on it alot.
i think in my mind those points have tied them. neither one can win now.
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumm!
methinks that's it for now.
have a lovely new years, everyone! (: |

I don't have much of an interest in Twilight. My friend loved the books but hated the movie, so that doesn't really make me wanna see it. "the obsession over edward cullen is killing it for me. really." LOL, people can be really scary.
Side note to Nate: I said the phrase "no dice" the other day for, like, the first time ever. It felt really weird to say out loud. |

NATHAN KELLY READ TWILIGHT + SEE THE MOVIE.
As for roxie, tried watching Skins..too British and boring for my tastes. *goes back to watching degrassi and one tree hill for my teen melodrama*
ITA about the obsession w/ Edward (or Jacob, for girls who want to change it up). They need to get a grip on themselves. Oh well. |

gah! boring! nevaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrh!
i think it's more over-dramatic than anything. i mean, if these kid's lives were real, they'd be burnt out - or dead - by the time they've finished college.
as for the whole twilight thing - kelly + nathan don't read/see it. i mean, SAVE YOUR MONEYS!
also - i hate jacob with a passion. what is his problem? gaaaaaaah! even though he helped them at the end of the fourth book, what's the whole imprinting shizznit about? gosh! |

I like Rochanne's suggestion much better. I'm already strapped for moneys as it is.
Robert Pattinson's head looks like a cube anyway. |
