Quincy, M.E.

R. Quincy (no specific first name given) is a medical examiner for Los Angeles County. Each week he'd get drawn into some kind of medical mystery that only someone with his bulldog determination and skills as a coroner could solve. He was assisted in his efforts by coroner's assistant Sam Fujiyama and often ended up going head-to-head with his skeptical bureaucratic boss, Dr. Robert Astin. The show often explored topical issues of its day, such as alcoholism, child pornography, diet pill abuse.
