Ranma ½

Ranma ½

This anime revolved around a teenage boy named, Ranma Saotome, who will turn into a girl whenever he is splashed with cold water, a result of falling into a cursed ponds at Jusenkyo ( it means Springs of Sorrow) while he was training in China with his father. He can only turn back into himself after being splashed with hot water. Not only does he have to tackle this bizarre curse, but also some romances as well. His father informed him that he is engaged to one of Soun Tendo's daughters. Meanwhile, Soun Tendo tells his three daughters that one of them is to marry Ranma in order that the Tendo dojo might be carried on since he has no son. When the sisters realize that Ranma has that bizarre curse, both the older sisters push the engagement onto the youngest sister, Akane Tendo. Thus, begins the love/hate relationship between Akane and Ranma. This, combined with multiple suitors for both Ranma and Akane, many strange forms of martial arts, and the various curses of many of the cast members makes this into one hilarious anime.

Absolutely Hilarious!Rating: 2 likes, 0 dislikes

This is the first japanese anime that came my way and it got me hooked on manga ever since. There isn't an episode that didn't make me laugh out loud!! Especially, when Ranma's dad, Genma turn into the panda. Sometime, you do want to kick him in the ass for getting everyone into trouble especially Ranma. As the show proceed, more and more characters are introduced into it, which only bring more laughter. Characters such as Shampoo's grandmother and the dirty old man, Happosai who is Genma's teacher can provide quite a few laugh too. Overall, this is one anime that you should watch a least one time. (I have watched it more than 3 times!) Read more
