One year ago, Professor Shepherd was forced to give a terrorist one of his inventions in exchange for his pet dog; the invention, a prototype transdogmafier, would allow the individual who uses it to transform their canine companions into anything they desired. However, when the terrorist received the device, he began to use it to turn certain dogs into horrible monsters. In order to put an end to his scheme, Professor Shepherd decides to take five dogs from around the world and transforms them into cano-sapiens, which are essentially anthropomorphic dogs who have human traits but retain their canine characteristics.
Now, the Road Rovers, as they’ve called themselves, must travel across the world in order to stop General Parvo, the terrorist responsible for the initial attacks, from obtaining the technology he needs to spread his mutations all across the world. When the Road Rovers aren’t fighting crime and saving the world, they’re allowed to return to their normal animal forms, and they live with leaders in various countries across the world.
