Long ago, in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil. But a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forward to oppose me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law. Now, the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku!

Long ago, the evil sorcerer Aku attacked the world, seeking to bring it under his rule. His power and fury were such that it seemed none had the power to oppose him. Until one warrior stepped forward and, alone, challenged the evil wizard. There was a terrible battle, and Aku was knocked to the ground, vanquished by the samurai. However, before the warrior could finish the battle, Aku, in desperation tore a portal into the future and flung the warrior, named Jack, into the future, where the world is under the cruel rule of Aku. Now Samurai Jack wanders this bleak, scarred future-world, searching for a way to return to the past and undo the evil future of Aku before it can take hold.

2x13: XXVI: Jack's Sandals recap: Jack's enjoying a nice, quiet day by the riverside... until a band of transforming biker-bots nearly runs him down, wrecking his precious sandals in the process. The bots proceed to inflict some serious property damage in a nearby city, and Jack rushes off to stop them, and get some payback for the destruction of his sandals... but it seems he's having a bit of trouble doing that in his bare feet. The thugs find his display laughable, and drive off... read more.

2x12: XXV: Jack and the Spartans recap: Jack scales a high mountain as he continues on his quest. Fighting against the wind, he moves along a narrow ledge and finally comes to a narrow crevasse. Moving along it, Jack finally emerges into sunlight once more and continues climbing. Below he watches a great battle between two armies. The defending Spartans fire their spears against the enemy bull robots until the two sides clash directly. The Spartans kill hundreds of the enemy, but more replace them. When one brave warrior is overrun, Jack can take no more and leaps to his side. Together they defeat the attackers and the survivors drag off their survivors... read more.

2x11: XXIV: Jack Is Naked recap: In a swamp, Jack battles a robot slug that is trying to swallow him. He jumps clear of its mouth and manages to grab its head, and hangs on despite its efforts to throw him clear. The samurai finally destroys the robot and emerges from the water covered in mud. He makes his way to a clear mountain stream, sets his sword aside, and removes his clothing. Immersing himself in the water, Jack relaxes and lets the water wash him clean... read more.

2x10: XXIII: Jack versus Demongo, The Soul Collector recap: Jack look out at the desolation he has created and the hope he has crushed, and is satisfied... except for the fact that Jack exists to taunt his omnipresent evil. The demon sorcerer has come up with the ultimate plan to eliminate his nemesis and summons from the Pit of Hate... Demongo. Aku notes that Demongo has the ability to steal the essence of the mightiest of warriors, and Demongo agrees that the more essence he takes, the more powerful he becomes. He has the essence of the greatest of warriors and insists that he cannot be defeated. Aku sends him to find Jack and destroy him, stealing his essence, and Demongo assures him that it is as good as done... read more.

2x9: XXII: Jack and the Hunters recap: A beam of energy shoots out from Earth and travels through deep space to a distant planet. On the planet, four leonine alien hunters--the Imakandi-- stalk their prey. The creature they’re stalking can see in all directions and have heightened hearing, but fail to notice the hunters until the Imakandi are right on top of them. The herd panics and runs, and the four hunters leap into their midst, scattering them. They then chase one and electrocute it with their staves, and then shoot an insect dart into it.
