Picture if you were in a peaceful planet named Neotopia. The place has just come under attack from a force of evil machines called the Dark Axis. Bit by bit, they're starting to really petrify the place and fry some friendly circuits. And guess what are the only things standing in their way? A team of human-sized robots with a big punch: the SD (Superior Defender) Gundam Force.

recap: The peace of Neotopia is shattered when it is invaded by Dark Axis bad guys Zapper Zaku and his Zako horde. Shute, a human boy, sees them land and watches as they destroy a mobile patrol. He gets spotted, and things look bad - until he is suddenly snatched out of harm's way by a mysterious figure. This hero then engages Zapper Zaku in combat, which ends in a giant explosion sending the combatants flying in all directions. When Shute arrives home, he finds his rescuer lying unconscious in his workshop. Shute works diligently to fix him, and the mysterious hero finally awakens. He tells Shute to forget about him. But when another battle starts, Shute is there again, and this time he saves the day by providing the hero with a vital piece of equipment he left behind at Shute's workshop. Grateful, the stranger reveals his name at last: Captain Gundam.
