1 :01x01 - To Be or Not to Be (Sep/12/1993)
The seaQuest, the newest, most advanced military submarine every constructed, has been given over to the United Earth Ocean organization. Its designer and creator, retired Navy officer Nathan Bridger, is brought onboard to view the creation he had left unfinished after his only son died in combat. Bridger wants nothing to do with the military now, but reluctantly visits his creation, now set up as mix of military and scientific crew.

When seaQuest comes under attack from a disgraced Navy Captain, Bridger is forced to take command of the boat in order to save the ship and crew from this deadly threat.

2 :01x02 - The Devil's Window (Sep/19/1993)
A maverick scientist needs the seaQuest in order to research subsurface volcanic flows by using probes into “black smokers.” However, contact with the toxins associated with these “black smokers” imperils Darwin. The team must delay the research, in order to try to save Darwin’s life.

3 :01x03 - Treasure of the Mind (Sep/26/1993)
On a scientific exploration of the Mediterranean Coast off of Egypt, the seaQuest uncovers an underwater structure that turns out to be an annex of the great library of Alexandria. Inside is an air pocket containing many valuable antiques and scrolls from many past cultures. However, word of their discovery gets out, and many Mediterranean nations lay claim to the objects from their past. They demand to get them back, and some say they would rather destroy the structure, rather than letting their items be taken by another country. Bridger is forced to call for a mediation between the confronting countries.

To complicate matters, Bridger is ordered to use the help from a special negotiating assistance team. Bridger is not happy about this, but finds their help useful. However, this team has their own hidden agenda. Will this confliction help or hurt the negotiations?

The seaQuest goes to an Antarctic prison only to find the facility about to go up in flames. The almost lone survivor, the Warden of the facility, is carrying a cryogenic chamber holding a mass murdering criminal. Unfortunately, the Warden is not who he appears to be, he is actually the mass murder hemself! Will the crew capture the criminal before he releases a deadly toxin he claims to have on seaQuest?

5 :01x05 - Treasures of the Tonga Trench (Oct/09/1993)
Lt. Krieg, in a Crab, comes into contact with a large biologic (a big unknown sea creature). After surviving the encounter, Krieg discovers small objects that lameness. Krieg sees these as valuable items, and plans to collect and sell them. However, his big mouth brings most of the crew into his scheme to profit from them. Soon the whole boat wants in on the possible profits to be made. But the gem may not turn out to be a gem after all.

To complicate matters even more, a UEO fitness inspection by Capt. Layton turns the boat upside down. Layton seems to find nothing right with the crews’ excellent performance, which, however, is hampered by the “gem” hunt.

Even worse, it turns out the biologic is not happy about seaQuest’s activities either. The seaQuest becomes imperiled over its “gem” recovery.

6 :01x06 - Brothers and Sisters (Oct/17/1993)
On a mission to destroy a old obsolete underwater nuclear missile facility, seaQuest discovers a group of children that were unknowingly abandoned after their parents died in their submersible. However, the oldest child refuses to leave, while the structure continues to become more and more unstable, putting the crew of the seaQuest trying to rescue them at risk.

The seaQuest investigates the discovery of a NGO space station which fell from orbit, and sank into the sea. The [group] which first found the satellite had gone mad and all are now dead. The seaQuest away team investigating the salvage find themselves in isolation upon their return to seaQuest, waiting to see if they have been infected too.

Bridger must find the lone survivor of the space station, a scientist who might know the answers they need, to save their crew. But will that survivor cooperate? That is the question, as he has gone into seclusion, and wants nothing else but to forget about his whole involvement in incident.

8 :01x08 - Knight of Shadows (Oct/31/1993)
When Bridger has strange dreams, the seaQuest is lead to a sunken luxury liner. Although records show everyone, but two, where rescued, a mysterious third person, woman, appears to him as an apparition.

Once on board the sunken ship they find fresh air, and then they encounter ghostly apparitions. Dr. Westphalen is taken over by the woman’s spirit. Together, she leads them to the answers as to why and how the ship came to its demise.

But can the seaQuest crew solve the ships long dead mysteries, and save Dr. Westphalen? Lucas becomes the key to solving the riddles.

9 :01x09 - Bad Water (Nov/07/1993)
When seaQuest goes on a search for a missing submarine full of French school children, Ford, Lucas, Dr. Westphalen, and Kreig’s rescue sub begins to sink dramatically to the ocean floor. In order to survive, they must jettison everything they can, on the rescue sub. They are forced to abandon the rescue sub for a life raft.

To make matters worse, a major storm, soon to be a hurricane, is growing on the surface above. Bridger has to decide if he should continue the search for the missing sub full of school kids, or rescue his crewmates stuck in the middle of a hurricane in a raft.

10 :01x10 - The Regulator (Nov/21/1993)
SeaQuest develops internal problems with its air conditioning, thus forcing the crew to temporally double, and even triple room bunk together to minimize their power usage. In order to speed up trying to fix the problem, Kreig contacts a brilliant, but notorious, scientist, now working as a black marketer, to obtain the chip needed to fix the boat’s cooling system.

It turns out the Regulator, as the black marketer is known, becomes more interested in Darwin, as Darwin maybe able to prove his discredited theory on Spherical Evolution. The Regulator takes Darwin, and the crew must rescue Darwin from the misguided scientist.

SeaQuest investigates an undersea mining facility after receiving a distress signal. Once they arrive, everything seems fine until they hear from one miner that it’s not. The miner turns out to be the mine owner. The mine is not under UEO’s jurisdiction, but they find they must help out even though doing so puts the crew in a dangerous situation.

Lucas is lured to an underwater world communications node station. There he meet others kids his age also with his brilliant intellect. The leader of this strange group is a notorious hacker gone legit, known by his hacker nickname as “Mycroft.” However, Mycroft has a sinister ulterior motive for drawing Lucas to the site. As Lucas is pulled in deeper, he begins to see the real purpose for his being there.

After returning from a two year mission to Mars, the Wayfarer capsule crashes into the ocean at six times the safe speed. The capsule then begins to sink; and seaQuest must rush to try to rescue any survivors. The rescue is hampered by internal conflicts among the leaders of the government of territorial waters the capsule lands in. To make matters worse, Bridger’s competitiveness and past competition with the capsule’s commander leads to questions about his genuine effort to rescue the capsules crew.

While running an experiment on seaQuest, where almost all the crew is off board, seaQuest receives a distress call. Upon responding with its limited crew, seaQuest is taken over by a terrorist group bound on getting the seaQuest’s nuclear launch codes.

Lt. Ford is one of the few crew not captured, and must form a counter plan. In doing so, he tells Lt. Cmdr. Hitchcock to answer the terrorist questions truthfully. He knows this means he must out think the terrorist, while they have the help of Hitchcock knowledge of seaQuest.

15 :01x15 - Greed for a Pirate's Dream (Jan/16/1994)
SeaQuest is tasked to launch and retrieve a magma buoy they place in a volcanic stream; the buoy being designed by the mercurial scientist Dr. Raleigh Young. Once finding the buoy after it emerges from the lava flow on a small island, they come upon a small group of treasure hunters intent on finding Black Beard’s partner’s long lost buried treasure. Unfortunately, the readings from the probe indicate a volcanic eruption on the island is eminent. However, the treasure hunters don’t trust the UEO crew and think they are after their treasure and refuse the order to evacuate the island. SeaQuest’s crew's efforts to protect this group of treasure hunters imperils them all, as the volcano is set to erupt, destroying the island.

16 :01x16 - Whale Song (Feb/06/1994)
SeaQuest is ordered to search out and destroy a renegade activist submarine which is sinking whaling ships in the North Sea, which are breaking UEO laws. Bridger is conflicted about the order, and promptly resigns his command. Bridger tells Lucas he has to leave too. However, Lucas stows away to remain on the boat.

Bridger, upon learning who the renegade sub’s captain is, reclaims command of seaQuest and goes after someone who he once thought of as a friend, and whom he also thought was dead.

17 :01x17 - The Stinger (Feb/20/1994)
The U.E.O. elicits bids for a high performance one man submersible. Lucas, along with several of the crew, joins in the competition to win the lucrative contract. Their major competitor, a large corporate entity, has a skeleton in its closet; a former maverick scientist who’s work they claim the intellectual rights to. He plans to enter his own design; one claimed by the corporation.

When the crew’s entry, the “Stinger” as Lucas wants to call it, is sabotaged, the question becomes who did it; the corporation or the maverick scientist? Their investigation is hampered by the U.E.O.’ stand that seaQuest’s request for information must be treated as the same as it would be handled from any competitor.

While Lucas and his team feverishly work to build a second prototype before the competition deadline, the remaining seaQuest crew works to seek out who sabotaged the first model.

18 :01x18 - Hide and Seek (Feb/27/1994)
An exiled dictator, Milos Tezlof, attacks and captures Dr. Westphalen while on shore leave along with Malcolm Lansdowne in order to realize a dream or vision he has been having about Darwin, and his son. The seaQuest bows to his demands to come aboard and interact with Darwin. However, the former enemies of the dictator discover he is on seaQuest and threaten to destroy the sub if he is not turned over to them. Bridger must find away to defuse the perilous situation both onboard and from the aggressive actions from the vessels above. Tezlof’s son and Darwin become the key to resoling the impending conflict.

Secretary General of the UFO, Andrea Dre, is escorted to a UEO summit at an undersea resort by seaQuest. Lucas is also to be in attendance, as Dre has been impressed by his work with Darwin. Things go awry when the world leaders and Lucas suddenly disappear. The seaQuest crew must find the world leaders and Lucas quickly, before the UEO and the world’s governments get toppled. Darwin becomes the key to finding Lucas and world leaders, but can he do it in time?

Lt. Ford, while on shore leave, sees a woman, who when he tries to talk to her, swims out and under the shore in front of him, not to resurface. As seaQuest investigates this incident, they learn that an maverick scientist, once thought dead, is continuing his outlawed experiments on creating perfect humans. The scientist, Abalon, has created humans who can breath under water and have longer life’s.

When Lt. Ford is captured by Abalon, and becomes his new test subject, seaQuest must do everything in their power to rescue him, before the worse can happen.

SeaQuest is ordered to sink a diamond smuggling sub, only to find out it full of refugee children from an abusive Asia country. Once the country thinks seaQuest might board the sub and learn their dirty secret, the drop depth charges on the fleeing sub. This causes seaQuest to go into hiding, and leaving the last rescue sub with Lt. Ford, Dr. Westphalen, her daughter, and Chief Chan aboard have to surface and try to hide among the terrorized people of the country the kids tried to leave. SeaQuest must find their crew before the Dictator finds them and kills them.

As the seaQuest crew ponders their promotion and reassignment possibilities while on leave, Lucas’ father, Dr. Wolenczak, is about to startup his dream of an underwater hydro-electric plant that will provide energy to everyone on Earth. However, the unstable sea floor around the plant causes things to go horribly wrong during the startup. The seaQuest must try to rescue the hydro-electric plant’s personnel and Lucas’ estranged and distant father.

The real question is whether the seaQuest can survive the rescue itself. Everything hangs in the balance for everyone, possibly everyone on Earth.

The seaQuest is drawn into an mysterious underwater vortex after hearing the strange pleading calls of a small girl that they can’t see. The vortex takes the seaQuest 250 years into Earth’s future.

The crew investigates a nearby advanced metropolis, but discovers that there is no one there… except for two children playing a battle game in large mechanical battle bots. Their game is real, and the crew is at risk from all the laser cannon shots being fired by the bots.

About this time, the crew also learns who, or what, is controlling the city’s infrastructure.

They soon learn why they were brought here, into mankind’s future, but can they fix what has gone wrong in the future? And, even if they can, will they be able to find their own way back to their own time?

Commander Keller from the Mars expedition appears in an image to seaQuest, asking seaQuest to go to the “Christmas Tree Trench.” The alien ship hiding there captures and transports seaQuest across the galaxy to a world mostly containing water. There they find Keller and Tobias, as the previously known alien is known to the crew, on this water world, which is entangled in a massive civil war. Tobias’ side is losing, so his race had decided to transport the seaQuest to his planet, to help them in their battle.

The seaQuest crew reluctantly agrees to help Tobias’ people in what appears to be a lost cause. However things go from bad to worse and Bridger sees only one possible solution to the conflict, which may be the last decision he will ever make.
